Asus Zenbook UX410: Design and Features

The Zenbookasus-zenbook-ux410-review series is practically invented with thinness and lightness in mind, but not compromising performance. The moment you hold this laptop, you will definitely feel that it is a premium laptop. Although it is not as premium finish as the new MacBook Pro, it feels like MacBook in its own right. When you open the lid and turn on the screen, you will instantaneously adore the very thin bezel at just 6mm making it to have 80% screen to body ratio. The display is a 14 inch Full HD monitor yet packed in a typical 13 inch body. It has 276 pixels per inch that makes every tiny detail pin-sharp and crystal-clear. ZenBook UX410’s display features an ultra-wide color gamut of 72% NTSC ,100% sRGB, and 74% AdobeRGB. In short, it has more colors to make better colors in a bigger screen yet smaller laptop.

This machine is made from solid aluminum alloy which keeps the weight down to just 1.4kg with a profile of just 18.95mm thin. Really, this fella screams with premiumness. The ZenBook UX410 comes with two nature-inspired shades: Quartz Grey and Rose Gold.

Thankfully, the camera is located at the top so the camera angel is normal unlike Dell XPS 13 where the camera is facing upright. Another good thing about the design is by not following Apple’s move to go USB Type C all the way. This laptop has plenty of ports including an audio jack, 1 USB 3.1 TYPE C port, 1 USB 3.0 port, 2 USB 2.0 port, 1 HDMI and a card reader. The full-size backlit keyboard is sturdily constructed in a single piece for a superb typing experience. The Zenbook UX410UA comes with Intel Graphics 520 and Intel Graphics 620 while the Zenbook UX410UQ comes with NVIDIA GeForce 940MX dedicated graphics for ultra-smooth video and great gaming. The higher end model comes with a finger reader for added security just like the new MacBook Pro and Lenovo Ideapad 710S Plus.

Should You Buy the  Asus Zenbook UX410?

The Asus Zenbook UX410 is a premium laptop yet not too expensive at under $1000. If you want a premium laptop, but on a budget without compromising beautiful design and impressive performance, Asus Zenbook UX410 is the right laptop for you. It is way cheaper than the new MacBook Pro 13″ and yet it feels like MacBook and it has even better specs to say the least. Alternative could be the Dell XPS 13″ or the Lenovo Ideapad 710s Plus or the Asus Zenbook UX310 which has a 13″ screen. There are actually many laptops with the same specifications out there, but it all boils down to your personal preference. If you choose Asus Zenbook UX410 – you can’t go wrong.

  1. Hi! Very helpful review. I’m shopping for a nice portable laptop good for heavy-duty writing and media streaming. This Zenbook sounds like a great option. I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about the heat emission/dissipation, you know, since watching movies/series tend to produce a lot of heat? Also, ASUS website does not say anything about the laptop including LAN ports or Bluetooth… TIA
